This month isn’t featuring one particular person, but ALL people in the field of education. While there are famous female educators I could name and explain, I’d prefer to focus on the brave, tireless, devoted legions of educators who are entering the classroom this fall. They deserve our respect, support, and significantly higher wages. They deserve grace and consideration, and, most of all, to be treated as dedicated professionals. Without these women showing up every day for students: the republic would fall; there would be no medical professionals, law enforcement, artists, musicians, engineers, …nothing! Teachers educate everyone!! So, as we start the 2022-2023 school year, thank these steadfast guardians of the mind. (And, maybe, slip them a really nice gift card to say thanks.)
